Finance Manager

Role description:

Do you have solid experience in financial management, accounting, and reporting, preferably gained within an industrial or manufacturing environment?

Are you motivated by taking on full financial responsibility for the Wind Division in Northern Europe, in addition to the Alimak Construction and Industry divisions in Denmark?

And do you possess the financial and accounting expertise needed to provide clear insights and support informed business decisions?

This role will report directly to the Wind Division Manager for Northern Europe.

 

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Reporting to the Managing Director, Wind Division Denmark, and as a member of the local management team, you will be responsible for the division’s finance function, including financial management, accounting, and reporting.

You will lead an employee in the finance department who supports the daily operations. As part of an international group, you will provide the corporate organization with accurate and reliable financial data for consolidations, management reporting, and ongoing financial analyses that support strategic planning and financial follow-up.

Overall, you will play a key role in managing a broad range of financial and accounting disciplines that support both short- and long-term business decisions. The role combines strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities, and you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working hands-on when required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including group reporting
  • Financial management and reporting, including forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and risk management
  • Participation in investment proposals and preparation of financial business cases and calculations
  • Liaising with banks, auditors, insurance providers, legal advisors, and IT suppliers
  • Driving further optimization of financial systems and processes, including strengthening system support across the finance function

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

To be successful in this role you will have:

a relevant degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field at bachelor’s or master’s level. You bring experience from a similar finance leadership position, preferably within an international manufacturing or industrial company where you have held overall accounting responsibility. Alternatively, you may be a highly capable and ambitious Financial Controller or Auditor looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role with full responsibility for a finance function.

As a person, you are analytical and quick to understand complex issues, enabling you to combine financial insights with strong business understanding. You are an effective communicator who collaborates well across functions and organizational levels and are recognized for being service-minded, approachable, and empathetic in your interactions with colleagues and stakeholders. At the same time, you are pragmatic and willing to take ownership of both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational tasks.

Furthermore, you have extensive experience working with Excel and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.
