Meet our dedicated Service Manager, Christian Odderskov, whose journey is as diverse as it is inspiring.
With a bachelor’s degree in marine and technical engineering, his career path has been anything but linear. From supervising and inspecting HSEQ standards to commissioning engineering projects, his experience spans various industries, including ventilation
and power plants. His leadership skills were honed during his service in the Danish army, where he served as a sergeant and patrol leader, even being deployed in Kosovo as part of a peacekeeping force.
Having joined Alimak Group in June 2024, he reflects on his first year with a sense of accomplishment and pride. “The best part of my job is seeing happy customers and positive colleagues working together to create great results,” he shares.
Before joining the company, he was the Danish Service Manager at a ventilation systems producer, where he successfully transformed a claim department into a profit-generating service department. This experience, coupled with his curiosity about the opportunities
within Alimak Group’s service business, particularly Avanti, drew him to his current role. “It’s very rare to have customers waiting in line for your help. A growing business is always a place you prefer to be,” he explains. The company’s “down to earth” and
“line of sight” management style also played a significant role in his decision.
In his private time, he finds joy in spending time with his children, though he admits that recharging often involves going for runs, tinkering in the garage, or simply relaxing on the couch with the TV on. And for a fun fact? Before his life became centered
around kids and work, he flew solo in a glider plane—a hobby he hopes to revisit once his children are older.
