Some careers are built step by step. For Tony Fernández, that journey has taken more than two decades, shaped by curiosity, patience and strong pride in the work he does every day.
Tony has been part of our factory in Alovera Spain, within Façade Access division, for 24 years. Today, he works with assembling machine components, turning drawings and raw materials into finished parts that move on to welding and final production. It is a role that requires both precision and experience, and one that Tony has grown into overtime.
His journey started at the very beginning.
“I started from the bottom, drilling pieces and controlling materials coming from the laser process,” Tony shares. “Little by little, I learned how to read the drawings. I got the opportunity to start assembling smaller parts, and over time I moved on to bigger and more complex components.”
That progression reflects something deeply rooted in our culture, the opportunity to grow through experience and trust.
Today, Tony works with key parts of the machines we deliver to customers around the world. What motivates him most is simple, yet powerful.
“What I like most is seeing the result of the work we do,” he says.
Tony’s story is also a reminder that careers are often shaped by people. His own journey began thanks to a recommendation from his father-in-law, who was already working at the company. What started as a new opportunity quickly turned into a long-term commitment.
“I’ve stayed for this long at the company because it is a great job, and it feels right here,” he explains.

When asked what advice he would give to someone starting a similar path, his answer is clear and grounded in experience.
“Listen to people who have more experience. Take their advice, be patient, and keep learning. It is not an easy path, but if you stay committed, you will grow.”
Outside of work, Tony finds balance in family life and nature. Whether it is watching football matches with his child, going out for dinner or spending time outdoors, these moments help him recharge and come back ready for the next week.
Looking at the workplace itself, Tony highlights what truly makes a difference.
“The people,” he says. “The equipment, the facilities and the safety are all important, but the people make it special.”
He also points to something that defines Alimak Group on a broader level.
“What sets us apart is the safety we offer, and the machines we make. They are the best on the market.”
Tony’s story is one of steady growth, strong craftsmanship and pride in what we build together. It reminds us that behind every machine, there are people who have dedicated years to mastering their skills, supporting each other, and striving to deliver the best possible results.
