Alimak wins new orders in emerging markets

Alimak Group (Alimak), the vertical access solution company, has received several orders for construction hoists and work platforms in Turkey, Algeria and Saudi Arabia. The total order value is 10 MSEK.

The new orders of construction hoists and work platforms will be delivered to construction- and rental companies in Turkey, Algeria and Saudi Arabia during the first and second quarter of 2016. Alimak Group is expanding its sales and service network around the world in order to continue to increase sales and to offer solutions to construction and industrial clients world-wide. During the year, Alimak has established new sales and service distributors in Algeria, Kenya and Lebanon. As of December 23, 2015, Alimak had 22 own sales offices and more than 60 distributors across the world.

"We are expanding our sales and service network to take advantage of the high interest in Alimak's safe and efficient vertical access solutions. We see increased demand for our mid-market offering in emerging markets in Asia, Middle East, Africa and parts of South America based on our strong brand and attractive product portfolio", says Fredrik Betts, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Construction Equipment.

Most of Alimak's construction hoists are based on modular designs, providing flexibility in both size and capacity for use in a variety of applications, including construction and refurbishment of high-rise buildings, bridges, chimneys and façades. The modular design reduces time for erection of equipment and optimizes cost for maintenance.
