Angie Ramos

Welcome Angie Ramos as she shares her journey and experience with Tractel Part of Alimak Group:

Welcome Angie, will you please share a little about yourself and your role within the division Height Safety Product Solutions (HSPS) in North America?

I am a Regional Sales Manager for the HSPS Division – Texas, Oklahoma, Luisiana? It was an under penetrated territory, thus a new role, and I was given the goal of “make that region profitable” – I dug in and developed the three markets within Oil & Gas, Wind, Municipalities, Construction supporting our defined strategic verticals. Efforts in the region have proven great growth in the territory. I am continuing to grow the new market which includes the full HSPS Tractel Product Line – to date Current Year 2024 by 150% and ended 2023 – 130% Growth to previous year.

Beyond my professional life, I come from a close family where I learned from my grandfather, who was an entrepreneur/small business owner sharing business innovative ideas and on his final start up business; A Great and Profitable Ice Cream Company!

I also enjoy pencil sketching, mostly landscapes, which I started when I was 15 years old. I also value the gift of sewing my mother taught me and my sister growing up – My Mother’s goal during Summer School Break was keeping us busy and out of trouble! 😊 however, I thank her for making this decision and is amazing that I have this knowledge and trade! ~ Family is especially important to me – Fact: I am 1 of 35 grandchildren which makes Holidays the best!

How long have you worked for Tractel Part of Alimak Group?

I have worked for Tractel one and a half year, and almost 15 years in Business Development, Operations Management and Sales roles. However, does not feel like it! All this knowledge that I have learned has prepared me to be successful within my position now.

What led you into Sales and how to succeed?

Firstly, my love of sales, being professionally relentless, I saw in my grandfather, who was an entrepreneur as mentioned – gave me the sales bug.

As a young woman my career climbed within the Safety Industry. I have grown my sales experience within Equipment Manufacturing and throughout my career regardless of product I have always focused on and highlighted how the Product Application is successful and how it will relate to the business of the customer sitting in front of me. I enjoy researching the customers, and how their vertical will succeed with the product I am presenting. My Goal is to always leave my customers educated and understanding specific product applications and an understanding of our full Tractel product line.

What do you like most about your role?

Every day is different! Each day brings new people, new challenges, new opportunities to gain experience from – our business is so diverse! I also enjoy being a solutions provider and learning from our customer new applications for our products along with understanding competitors’ new products within our growing industry!

Angie, you are the only female in a HSPS North American Sales role, what advice or support would you offer women who are looking into sales in this industry?

Unfortunately, women professionals accept a very small space in our industry. Yet I would encourage women into Safety Business development and Sales for multiple reasons: 1) Safety is a growing industry! 2) Women have innate skills for Sales success: those who are organized, professionally researched, able to multi-brain, and have incredible persistence are stars in sales!

Languages spoken and benefits:

I speak both English and Spanish fluently. I find a lot of value being able to speak the language of the End User and their team creates a bond between myself and the owner/operator, growing trust and partnership. It very easily brings an unspoken connection.

Do you have a life motto?

“Always work hard and have fun in what you do because I think that’s when you’re more successful. You have to choose to do it.” — Unknown

“The future depends entirely on what each of us does every day.” — Gloria Steinem
